A Queen Anne B&B at Christmas

My wife, Lisa, and I awoke in Hannibal, Mo., this morning on the third floor of a circa 1889 mansion. To avoid staying in a typical chain hotel, we booked Reagan’s Queen Anne, a downtown bed-and-breakfast near the historic district.

Tourists come to Hannibal from all over the world to learn about Mark Twain, visit the cave, ride the riverboat, get in the way of local drivers and chow down on Made-Rites at the dinette; we came to visit my mother. I will write more about Hannibal and why this hilly old river town has such a hold on me. First, I want to share some photos of this house.
