About the Author
Guy D. Johnson is a marketing communications professional. Previously, he operated his own industrial 3D animation studio, held positions of editor, copyeditor and reporter/photographer at daily newspapers, served as a volunteer fireman, sweated through summers on a railroad bridge gang, worked nights alone in a 100,000-watt FM radio station and gave tours through caves.
Guy was born in the farmlands of Southern Illinois, on the Ohio River, and raised in the scenic hills of Hannibal, Mo.; the old Mississippi River town made nearly mythical by Mark Twain. He has lived upon the arid, high plateau of the Texas Panhandle and at the subtropical coast of the Upper Gulf of Mexico. For 20 years, he worked and wrote in New Orleans.
He writes about people, places and moments that seem too special or important to go unreported.
